About this is Monrovia!
T.I.M (This is Monrovia!) is a local NGO established in 2008 by two French professionals with extensive experience in the cultural sector.
T.I.M is focusing on the organization of cultural events in Monrovia, the promotion of cross-cultural exchanges and the development of concrete actions supporting the reconstruction process through artistic initiatives.
T.I.M is based on 3 simple ideas:
By changing people’s perception of their environment, culture has a key role to play in post-conflict countries.
Representing almost 50% of the Liberian population, communities of the Greater Monrovia face colossal challenges, beyond the satisfaction of basic needs: particularly the development of a shared vision of their future through mutual understanding
Art and Culture have the capacity to build unity and tolerance
Partnerships with other Liberian organizations are at the heart of T.IM.’s approach.
